Panoramic Radiography

Panoramic radiography produces an x-ray of the face, including the maxilla (upper jaw) and the mandible (lower jaw). These x-rays have many advantages. They cover a wide area of facial bones and teeth but require a low radiation dose. They also facilitate the ability to take x-ays in patients who have difficulty opening their mouths.
